EU 101 Module Based Course

The “European Union 101 – Modular Course” was developed within the framework of an agreement concluded by the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence of the ERASMUS+ Programme at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The module was prepared in cooperation with the TSU Center for Continuing Education. The course was approved approved by order No. 158/01-01 of the ღector of Tbilisi State University.

The “European Union 101” course is structured into four blocks:

Human Rights Resilience (equality, rights of vulnerable groups);

Information Resilience (reliable historical context, combating disinformation, mechanisms for access to information);

Social Security (migration: emigration and immigration, migration and social security);

Environmental Security (climate change, environmental protection).

The course aims to raise awareness, from an interdisciplinary perspective, among audiences that do not have access to courses focusing on European Union policies. The educational modules will enable participants to better understand the foundations of the European Union as a political construct, as well as to become familiar with relevant policies and standards within all four thematic blocks.
